About Precious Years Blogger

Welcome! This site was created as a resource to engage with parents, grandparents, caregivers and nannies of infants, toddlers, and preschool age children. By connecting, I hope to inspire all to create a home environment that is safe and educational as well as enjoyable. In doing so we (collectively) could rest easier and enjoy our time with the children in our home or the child(ren's) home. I hope to share ideas on this blog in different areas like infant care, music, activities, book reading, and environmental setups. These topics may include issues that both parents/grandparents and caregivers/nannies struggle with.

About Iva
Early Care and Education has been my passion for many years.I ran a licensed Small Group Home Child Care and was in the business of caring for little ones for 10+ years. Recently, I have retired my child care business and my nanny business. In addition, I am an Author of Precious Years Leaps & Bounds

As I studied in courses required to obtain a certificate for Early Care and Education, I was fascinated with all the information I gathered in this area. I was awarded, through Central Arizona College, a certificate under ECE Family Child Care. A few years after, I pursued my education to further my passion in Early Childhood Education. As my child care program developed over the years, my true passion became tangible. I love teaching the little ones the love of learning while engaging with them. Overtime, I've watched them grow and develop into competent children ready for school.

Hope you enjoy clicking through the different tabs on the top of this website and reading through the various articles I have written.

  3. Hi!
Love your blog! My name is Jennifer and I am the founder of Baby Begin. We are passionate about making new moms aware of a condition that will affect 46% of new babies each year. Flat Head Syndrome (plagiocephaly) is 100% preventable and we are trying to make new parents aware of how to keep their baby's head round and pretty. Please let me know if you would be interested in joining forces in some way through a blog, interview, social media post, links, etc. I believe a grass roots effort is what we need to beat this.
