Equipment for Infant Twins ~ Makes Life Easier

Are you expecting twins or know of 
someone who is expecting twins? You might find this article handy when planning ahead for the baby shower. I am a Nanny for a family that has newborn infant twins. I am amazed with the updated baby equipment that has been created to make life easier for the parents and caregivers as well as infants. The ingenious engineers that came up with the current inventions for baby equipment, had to be females who came into motherhood in recent years.

Here is a list of some equipment that my family, for whom I nanny for, have been using and love:

Auto Rock ‘n Play Sleeper ~ for infant twins this is ideal to order two and have next to your bed for overnight sleeping and feeding times. This particular model from Fisher-Price has a device that has an AC plug for auto rocking, music and vibration. Bottle maker ~ This is awesome! I love how quickly it makes the bottles at the right temperature and measurement. This makes from 2oz to 10oz bottles. You can adjust the platform to go higher for smaller bottles and lower for larger bottles. This model is from Babybrezza. I found this at Target @

Bottle sterilizer ~ with double feedings for infants, this quickly sanitizes and dries the bottles, nipples and other bottle attachments within minutes. This particular model is from Babybrezza. I found this at Bed Bath & Beyond @

Baby Log Book for Twins ~ This is very handy to have in order to keep record of their last feedings, diaper changes, naptimes, overall mood, special concerns, special care like medicine given, tummy times, activities, supplies needed, and a note area. Bring the book into an office supply store to get the spine of the book coil bound. This will make it easier so the log book will lay flat when it’s open. It has a page for each twin for each day. It’s perfect for keeping track for all involved in caring for your twins; nanny, grandparent, spouse, or babysitter. In addition, this is useful for updates with your Pediatrician. Bobby pillow for twins ~ The Bobby Pillow has become popular over the years. Well, now you can purchase a Bobby Pillow for twins. For newborns, it’s perfect for mothers while breastfeeding. As they get a little bigger, it’s ideal for the twins to rest in without the concern of smothering or falling over. We like to place the Bobby Pillow inside the pack n play with the bassinet attachment secured high in the pack n play. This makes it easier for you to lift your infant without reaching way down. Joovy® Room2 Twin Nursery Center ~ Like I have mentioned above, this pack n play is wider than the average pack n play. In fact, buybuy Baby calls it a playard. It not only has more space for sharing with more than one baby, it has a bassinet attachment secured high from the top. This is better on your back so you won’t have to reach too far down to pick up your baby. This particular model is by Joovy called the Room2 Twin Nursery Center

4moms Mamaroo infant rocking seat ~ these seats are great for comforting your baby. They are handy when a parent is busy nurturing his or her baby sibling.

Stroller for infant twins ~ this particular Contours® Options® Elite Tandem Stroller in Graphite stroller is perfect for twin infants. It’s constructed to hold two infant car seats and can transition easily into regular seats as they grow out of the car seats. It’s strong and durable. It handles smoothly on rough gravel with front and rear suspension. This particular model has plenty of space under the seats to keep the diaper bag.

Double dresser & changing table ~ find a dresser with deep drawers for the numerous onesies and outfits. You will be changing their outfits several times a day (at least during their infancy stage). Getting one dresser set will save space in their room. It’s handy to have one similar to this particular item Bailey 6-Drawer Double Dresser in White, so you can use the top as a diaper changing table. All you need is a diaper changing pad. Cribs for twins ~ find individual cribs that convert into toddler beds as well as full size beds. Most stores call them 4 in 1 cribs. This will help in cost and prevents from having to get a new bed as they grow. They come in all different styles and prices. I found this buying guide at Bed Bath & Beyond @
