Oh My Anxious Heart


What to do when filled with anxious feelings? There are so many reasons women feel stressed out, full of anxiety, and have overwhelming worried thoughts. Some reasons that come to mind are unexpected events like loss of job, illness in the family, major changes like a big move, financial struggles, relationships with a spouse, children, adult children, siblings, in-laws, job or career related relations. This list can go on with countless circumstances that women are currently facing.
I have recently been following this wonderful inspiring book
titled, “Calm My Anxious Heart” with the subtitle, “A Woman’s Guide to Finding Contentment” written by the author Linda Dillow.
If you have read or following the articles in my blog, I’m sure you have come to the conclusion that I am a Christian with a deep faith in God. This book has encouraged my faith to dig a little deeper than I have in the past.
If you are dealing with a lot of anxiety lately, and struggle with how to calm your anxieties, I invite you to purchase this book. If you are one that likes bible study type of books, it even includes twelve-week bible study questions in the back pages. I love to journal my thoughts and “aha moments” and found it helpful for me to write these thoughts in a separate notebook as I can refer back to it again and again. The author also created a companion journal, “My Journey to Contentment” that follows along with this book.
